System Requirements

Because this course is conducted entirely online, there are several minimum system requirements that must be met.

  1. Your computer must be in compliance with the VCU Student Computer Initiative -- details at http://www.vcu.edu/sci/
  2. Disable/turn-off any pop-up blocker software or settings in your browser
  3. Be sure your computer has the latest versions of Shockwave, Flash, and Adobe Reader installed (click software name for download link)
  4. Be sure that you are NOT blocking any "cookies" in your browser
  5. A sound card with standard speakers or headphones is recommended
  6. A high-speed Internet connection is strongly recommended (to ensure reliability, a wired connection is prefered to a wireless one)
